Greetings in the mighty name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
Have you noticed how fast time is passing?! I was looking at my documents and realized the last blog I did was June 30! Wow! Life happens fast and before you know it, another day, week, or month has passed. Do you let the busyness of life keep you from spending time with God or does the craziness keep you closer to God? Can I confess to you that sometimes I allow the busyness or craziness to keep me from God’s Word? But no matter what, I will continue to have conversations with Him. The Bible tells us that Jesus would get away by Himself to spend time with His Father God in prayer, but He also spent time in corporate prayer and praise. Let me ask you this: Do you ever talk to yourself or “think out loud”? Well, I do. I guess some people think I’m crazy but most of the time, I’m not talking to myself at all! Why is that you ask? Because we are never truly alone.
God is always with us and He hears us so why not have conversations with Him about the day, all day? God’s Word tells us in 1 Thessalonians 5:17 to pray without ceasing. How can we do that unless we pray, or talk to God, all day? Whether you talk to Him out loud or in your mind, He hears you. And no matter what is going on in our personal world, we should always pray, one way or the other. Keep God close, always. It’s amazing how much better your day will go.
Does it take away all the battles or struggles? No, but it makes it so much easier when you have your Father God with you through it all. There is example after example in God’s Word if you will read it and see for yourself. Just a couple examples: How about Daniel in the lions’ den? The lions didn’t eat him because God was there. What about the men who refused to worship the king and were thrown in the fiery furnace? There were three of them thrown in but when the people looked there were four men in the fire! That’s right because God was with them! Jesus tells us in Matthew 28:20, “I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” (which by the way, is soon and very soon) Deuteronomy 31:6 says, “Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.” There are so many more promises and so many more examples of God’s faithfulness to us in His Word. Read it for yourself and find out! And don’t forget to pray (talk to God)! Until next time my friends, be encouraged and be blessed!
