Greetings in the mighty name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! Welcome back to this week’s word of encouragement!
Did you know that all throughout God’s Word we see regular people being used by God? That’s right, sinners just like you and I who have made mistakes, some major mistakes like adultery, murder, etc. God’s Word tells us that we are all sinners and fall short of God’s glory (Rom 3:23). So how could we possibly get to Heaven? Jesus! That’s right, it’s that simple. It’s all about Jesus. He was born to die for us, to save us from our sins. We can’t get to Heaven without Him. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.
No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6) I encourage you to read God’s Word for yourself and begin a personal relationship with Jesus through reading His Word, prayer, and praise. Did you know that God’s Word actually instructs us to read His Word? Joshua 1:8 says this, “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Did you notice it said, “it shall not depart from your mouth”? That means we are to speak God’s Word. We speak it over our hearts, our minds, our life, our families, our jobs, our church, our friends; I could go on and on.
No matter what we are going through, no matter what questions we may have in life, we find the answers in God’s Word. I encourage you to find out for yourself. Read the Bible! You don’t have to sit and read it all at once, unless you prefer to, but try to read something every day. Speak that Word over your life and stand strong with the help of our Savior, Jesus Christ, our Heavenly Father God, and through the power of the Holy Spirit that lives inside you when you accept Jesus as your Savior!
