Greetings in the mighty name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
Question time! Yay! My question to you is this: do you go to church? I know that not all believers do and I know that there are perfectly good explanations for it but, and it’s a big BUT, let me ask you another question. Do you have the support and fellowship of other believers? Let me share what God’s Word says in Hebrews 10:23-25 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
The Day is the rapture of the church, the coming and calling of Jesus to believers. We will join Him in the air! Then, literally, all hell will break out and it will be very difficult for all. I know that the Day is near, we see it all around us. The Bible, God’s Word, is very clear on this. 2 Timothy 3:1-5 says, But mark this: there will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God – having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people! Wow, that pretty much sums up the world right now! We are told in the gospels to be alert, be watchful, be prepared, and stand! If we look at the military we can see that no one is alone in any battle.
There are groups, teams, squadrons, etc fighting together. Ephesians 6: 10-13 says, “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the Day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.” It goes on to describe the armor of God and in verse 18 it tells us “And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.” We need each other more than ever! If the devil can get someone alone, they can be defeated.
We all have family members that need Jesus, that need His salvation but, we, as believers, also need each other and prayer. We cannot do this alone. We need our Heavenly Father, our Savior, Jesus Christ, and the power of the Holy Spirit that dwells within us. Let’s be here for each other!! Find fellow believers, join a church, get in a Bible study group, do something to stand strong and be alert!
